The Mills’ nautical-themed ceremony and reception took place at The Cove, an intimate and beautiful venue located in The Normandy Park Community Club in the South Puget Sound Area. The sparkling waterfront views along the lush meadow backdrop created the ideal romantic setting for Chris and Krista to start their happily ever after. The couple loves to sail and spends most of their time on their sailboat, which was uniquely incorporated in the details from the driftwood centerpieces to the boat-knot bouquets. The bride got ready at the Cedarbrook Lodge, an oasis in Seattle’s backyard, where I got to capture the intricate details of her stunning gown, along with the bridal bouquet filled with pale-pink roses and echeveria succulents, hand-crafted by her Maid of Honor. I had the pleasure of also capturing the couple's engagement, where Chris proposed on their sailboat with a ring attached to a keychain floating on the water. Krista brought that keychain with her to the ring ceremony, and after tying the knot, the newlyweds walked along the water under a magical sunset for their post-ceremony photos. The local taco and donut trucks made for a delicious night cap after a fun-filled evening. The Mills are an amazingly nice, fun-loving couple, and it was a pleasure to photograph their love set sail.
